Sporting relatives
His brother Gilles represented Belgium in artistic gymnastics at the world championships in 2009 and 2010, as well as the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. Injuries
He tore the meniscus in his knee while competing at the 2021 World Challenge Cup event in Koper, Slovenia. He was still able to compete at the 2021 World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, but he had to undergo surgery in March 2022. Following the procedure he continued to train his upper body but it led to overtraining and in July 2022 he tore two ligaments in one of his wrists. He returned to competition in October 2022. Reason for taking up the sport
He followed his brother Gilles into the sport. "I was exposed to sports from childhood, and had taken up some disciplines in parallel with gymnastics. However, I never found the same sensations in other sports and that's why I decided to devote most of my time to gymnastics."
Milestones
