Reason for taking up the sport
He was introduced to gymnastics at his school. "We learned gymnastics during second grade physical education class. I loved it. I showed my parents what I had learned everyday when I got home from school; I was flipping all over the house. It was great."

RETIREMENT
He expects 2017 to be his final year competing. "This is probably my last year competing. Last year on tumbling I stopped in the middle of the floor and I don't remember why – so this year I have to win to make it to the World Games. It really increases my drive and motivation a lot."
