Start sporting career
He started in aerobics at age 11 at primary school. In 2005 he was introduced to coach Alta Lategan, who began training him for competition.
Reason for taking up the sport
"I was introduced to it by Ms Mothibe, my class teacher, because I was very naughty and always caught doing cartwheels and splits because those made me feel cool."
