Additional information
HIATUS
At age 13 she was forced to stop the sport for several years after she moved to Spain with her parents. "I retired because my father found a job as a waiter in Murcia, Spain, where my whole family was. I was 13 and I had to go with them. I went to the High Performance Centre in Madrid, I did some tests and everything was good, but because I wasn't Spanish, I couldn't stay there and they couldn't afford a place for me to stay because Madrid is very expensive. I went with the feeling something could be done, but there was nothing that could be done." She returned to competition in 2013. (latercera.com, 11 May 2015)
