In 2021 he spoke about taking a break from his studies at the faculty of maritime studies at the University of Rijeka in Croatia in order to focus on his gymnastics career. "I enrolled in the first semester of the fourth year, but I plan to put the second semester on hold so that I can dedicate myself more to sports.
