Sporting relatives

His older brother Edward won a gold medal in acrobatics [all-around pairs] at the 2010 World Championships in Wroclaw, Poland, and his older sister Alice won a gold medal in the sport [all-around pairs mixed] at the 2013 World Games in Cali, Colombia. (british-gymnastics.org, 21 Jul 2017; SportsDeskOnline, 29 Jul 2013)

Reason for taking up the sport

"I love my discipline [acrobatics] because unlike other gymnastic disciplines I get to work very close as a team. Working together allows us to motivate each other and push through the rough patches." (british-gymnastics.org, 21 Jul 2017)

Most memorable sporting achievement

Winning a gold medal in the all-around group event at the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland. (british-gymnastics.org, 26 Jul 2017)

Additional information

General
DOUBLING UP
He and his pairs partner Charlie Tate were forced to switch to a pair months before the 2018 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. "Our base, Lewis [Watts], wanted to have financial stability and as such needed to broaden his horizons to achieve this. This left three of us without a replacement base. Along with our coach we decided that a pair would be a great challenge which we are up for." (fig-gymnastics.com, 12 Apr 2018)

SUPPORT ACT
He has experience working on television and movie sets, and hopes to pursue this further once his sporting career is over. "I occasionally work in the film industry doubling actors, and this is something I intend to pursue once my competitive career is over, not for a few years yet though." (fig-gymnastics.com, 12 Apr 2018)
