She took up gymnastics at age 13 at the Durban North Gymnastics Club. At age 18 she was spotted by the national aerobic gymnastics coach who thought her height and build would make her ideal for the performance sport.
Reason for taking up the sport
She transitioned from a dancing and gymnastics background into aerobics. She turned professional at age 18.

MISS EARTH COMPETITION
In 2011 she represented South Africa in the international environmental themed beauty pageant Miss Earth. She won the talent section of the competition.
