Start sporting career
She took up gymnastics at age seven in Espinho, Portugal.
Reason for taking up the sport
She started with rhythmic gymnastics, but all she enjoyed doing was playing football with the balls. She had the chance to jump on a trampoline for the very first time at her school in Espinho, and found it was a unique experience. "It felt like I was flying."

She works as a coordinator of the Olympic prospects team at Sporting Clube in Lisbon, Portugal, and is also involved in the marketing department. "It has been one of my biggest challenges. But it is also something that makes me go home at night with a feeling of achievement. After graduating from the University of Porto with an economics degree, she completed a master's degree in management at the Superior Institute of Management in Lisbon, Portugal.
