Start sporting career
He took up gymnastics at age four, and started tumbling at age 10 in Gloucester, England.
Reason for taking up the sport
"My mum used to take my sister Annelies to a tumbling class in Gloucester. I was four at the time and she [Annelies] was two years older than me. I'd be sat on the side but I had so much energy that I'd be rolling around all the time. They let me have a go and I found out I really liked it even though not many boys did it. It was a way to release all that extra energy. I have a huge love for the entire sport of trampolining and tumbling, but loved the adrenaline rush of hurtling at top speeds that tumbling offers the most."
Milestones
He became the first male gymnast representing Great Britain to win an individual tumbling world title by claiming gold at the 2013 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. (SportsDeskOnline, 04 Oct 2018; bioch.ox.ac.uk, 25 Nov 2013)
