Start sporting career
She began with rhythmic gymnastics when she was five. She took up aerobic gymnastics in 2002. (ueg.org, 23 Oct 2015)
Reason for taking up the sport
She had practised rhythmic gymnastics but in 2002 she did not like it anymore because she felt the pressure of training. She was encouraged to try aerobics instead and she liked it. "In the beginning, I didn't want to, but after just one training I was obsessed. I love it because I feel that I can really express myself and feel the energy the public is giving to me." FROM GREECE TO FRANCE
She competed for Greece in both rhythmic and aerobic gymnastics. In 2011 she moved to France as she was in a relationship with French aerobic gymnast Benjamin Garavel. "In the beginning it was very difficult because I didn't speak French. But I have succeeded in taking my instructor diplomas, all in French." In May 2015 she received French citizenship and later that year she represented France for the first time. (ueg.org, 23 Oct 2015)

She and her partner Benjamin Garavel met at the 2008 World Cup event on Borovets, Bulgaria. "We saw each other and something magical happened. Even though we were only 17 we knew that something big was passing between us." They started a relationship despite being 3000km from each other, for she was living in Greece and he was in France. "We were sharing the maximum of time we could, via Skype. We know we were crazy but because of this, today, we are engaged." Benjamin proposed in London in December 2014 during a dinner cruise on the Thames. In May 2015, three months after she received French citizenship they were part of the team that won the bronze medal in the group event at the World Cup of Borovets, Bulgaria. "We won our first medal together on the same place we had met seven years ago." Their wedding plans are set for July 2017 in Greece. (ueg.org, 23 Oct 2015)
INSTUCTOR
