Start sporting career
She took up the sport at age four. (gob.mx, 17 Apr 2018)
Reason for taking up the sport
She was born into a family with a rhythmic gymnastics tradition as her mother is a coach and her aunt is a judge. At an early age she was in training sessions and after watching the girls practising the sport she wanted to imitate them. "Rhythmic gymnastics is a very beautiful experience. As it is an artistic sport, it is very demanding. But if you practise it with so much love and passion, it becomes easier, although it isn't." (gob.mx, 17 Apr 2018)
