He began trampolining at age nine in his garden before joining Springers Trampoline Club in Liverpool, England.
Reason for taking up the sport
"When I was younger my sister wanted to go trampolining but didn't want to go alone, so I got forced to go with her. At 13 I moved to Liverpool full-time [Liverpool Trampoline Gymnastics Academy]. I still thought of it as just a hobby, but I got chosen for my first national in trampolining when I was 11 or 12, and I did OK. I started to take it more seriously and I enjoyed competing at a higher level."
Ambitions
