Start sporting career
She took up artistic gymnastics at the Sportiva Sint-Gillis-Waas club, but switched to acrobatics after they discovered her talent for the discipline. She later moved to the national centre in Ghent to combine the sport with school.
Reason for taking up the sport
"I didn't know anything about acrobatics at first. At some point they needed a 'top' for one of the teams, and I wanted to take on the challenge."
Ambitions

RETIREMENT PLANS
She intends to retire from elite acrobatics following the 2022 World Games. "I will give my everything for another two years [speaking in December 2020]. After that, I will probably retire and start a new life without elite sports. That is something I look forward to." (demorgen.be, 05 Dec 2020)
