Reason for taking up the sport
He took up gymnastics as he thought it looked like a fun activity. "I realised that I trained to go to competitions, not to just play. I wanted to keep doing gymnastics. I remember my second grade teacher Mrs. Marinaki was horrified with my hands. She constantly saw me with bloody hands, calluses, peeling all year round. She felt sorry for me and asked me not to write. It was unprecedented for her, but for me it was normal."
