Injuries
In September 2014 he injured his left ankle during a fall from the high bar at a competition in London, England, which almost threatened his chance to compete at the 2014 World Championships in Nanning, People's Republic of China. Start sporting career
He took up the sport at age six at the local gymnastics club Oliveo in Pijnacker, Netherlands.
Reason for taking up the sport
"I started because I got inspired by my grandmother. She used to stand on her hands all the time. I wanted to do that too and started the sport."
Trainings
He trains around 27 hours per week.

BUSINESS OWNER
In October 2016 he started the company 'QV-Mental & Physics' together with Axel Quist, a former member of the Dutch national gymnastics team. They deliver workshops for schools and sports clubs in which they focus on mental and physical health. (qvmentalphysics.nl, 01 Oct 2016)
