RETIREMENT AND COMEBACK
After failing to earn selection for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she considered retiring from gymnastics but instead decided to take time away from the sport to start a family. She gave birth to a daughter in 2017 and returned to competition at the 2018 National Championships in Gdansk, Poland. "It's hard to give up on something you have done for your entire life, so after a short break from professional sport, you start to miss it. I took a breath being away from sport and I have to admit that already during pregnancy I was missing gymnastics. I wanted to prove to myself that I could return."
