Additional information
SWITCHING FOCUS
After missing out of qualification for the 2020 Olympic Games, he decided to focus on just parallel bars and horizontal bar. He made the choice as he felt it would prolong his career. "Gymnastics can be pretty taxing on the body, so becoming a specialist helped me prolong my career. I still train pommel horse and sometimes compete rings for the Australian team if needed. As for doing all-around again, it's not something that is in my plan, but hey, stranger things have happened." (intlgymnast.com, 24 Feb 2023)
COACH
He has worked as a part-time gymnastics coach, including at Gungahlin Gymnastics in Mitchell, ACT, Australia. "I take that seriously. I'm a tough coach, I teach them how I was taught. That job is good for me, because it fits in with training and competitions."
