NAMED ELEMENT
As his training for vault was disrupted by injuries to his shoulder and elbows in 2015, he decided to spend more time on the horizontal bar. In December 2017 'The Miyachi' was added to the Code of Points for the horizontal bar by the International Gymnastics Federation [FIG]. The element, first performed by him at the 2017 World Championships in Montreal, QC, Canada, involves a Kovacs with 2/1 turn stretched and has an 'I' value.
