Her father Yoshiaki Hatakeda was part of the Japanese artistic gymnastics team that won bronze in the team all-around at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. Her mother Yukiko represented Japan in artistic gymnastics at the World University Games, while her younger sister Chiaki competed in the sport at the 2019 World Junior Championships in Gyor, Hungary.
