She first tried gymnastics at age 10 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She began taking the sport seriously when she returned to Denmark.

NERVE CONTROL
She made her world championship debut in 2017 in Montreal, QC, Canada, and admits to having been apprehensive before competing. "I was thrown into it. I almost got a shock when I arrived. It was all new to me. The lighting was new, the attention was big, and the judges had to judge me in a new way. When I think back on it, I made a lot of stupid mistakes and was very nervous. It was perhaps just over the edge for someone who had just joined the national team. [But] it has given me much greater confidence and helped me to manage my nerves better."
