Injuries

In late 2010 he suffered a right ankle injury that went undiagnosed. In August 2011 he suffered a left ankle injury and when he went for scans a loose bone in his right ankle was also diagnosed. In December 2011 he had surgery to fix his right ankle. Further surgeries over the next six months led to infections, forcing him to briefly consider retirement. (yle.fi, 30 Apr 2014)
