IZMIR 2014: THE LONGINES
AWARD FOR ELEGANCE

WHO ELSE?

Yana Kudryavtseva, already an “Ambassador of Elegance” for Longines, was honored with the ultimate prize in Rhythmic Gymnastics outside of competition: the Longines Prize for Elegance, given to the gymnast who demonstrates the quality both on and off the competition floor.

The prize, which comes with a Longines watch, a check for 5,000 American dollars and a small, elegant statue of a gymnast in motion created by Swiss artist Jean-Pierre Gerber, is decided by a committee that counts FIG President Bruno Grandi and Longines President Walter von Kaenel among its members.

Kudryavteva, who was flown to Switzerland and feted as one of two new Longines Ambassadors of Elegance in September, appeared delighted to have been awarded the Prize for Elegance in Izmir. She follows Ganna Rizatdinova (UKR), who was awarded the prize at the World Championships in Kiev (UKR) in 2013.
