Reason for taking up the sport
"I wanted to do artistic gymnastics but at the time there were no good sports schools nearby. I was inspired by the victory of Yuri Nikitin [Ukrainian trampoline gymnast] at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and asked my mother to enrol me in this sport."
