His wife Katish Hernandez has represented Colombia in trampolining, and won two silver medals and one bronze at the 2019 South American Championships in Barranquilla, Colombia. His brother-in-law Angel Hernandez Recalde represented Colombia in trampolining at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. FROM SPAIN TO COLOMBIA
He represented Spain earlier in his career, competing at the 2011 World Championships in Birmingham, England, and the 2010 European Championships in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2013 he began training in Colombia along with fellow gymnastics trampolinists Katish Hernandez and her brother Angel, as all three athletes were unhappy with the support they were receiving from the sporting authorities in Spain.
