He took up the sport at age six and participated in his first competition in 2002 at the Trampoline and Tumbling Express club in Lafayette, LA, United States of America.
Reason for taking up the sport
His parents were gymnastics coaches. After moving to the United States of America, he began practising artistic gymnastics. One day he became frustrated at not being able to perform well on pommel horse so he started jumping on a trampoline. "It was like freedom. You feel weightless in a way."
