RETIREMENT
In October 2021 she was part of the Bulgarian group that withdrew from the world championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, due to an injury suffered by Laura Traets. Following the withdrawal, she announced her retirement from the sport alongside her national teammates Simona Dyankova, Laura Traets, Madlen Radukanova and Stefani Kiryakova, who claimed gold together in the group event at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "To be honest, I hesitated whether to continue training and competing. I decided to retire with the team because this is my peak moment, and there is simply nothing more to take from the sport. I took everything - the love of the people, all the highest successes that an athlete can achieve, so I retired satisfied, calm and happy." (sportal.bg, 29 May 2022; epicenter.bg, 28 Oct 2021)
