He suffered strong pain to his back after the tumbling qualification at the 2021 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. He considered withdrawal from the final event but eventually managed to perform and win a silver medal. (trend.az, 21 Nov 2021)

Reason for taking up the sport
He was a lively child, so his grandmother decided to enrol him in acrobatics. After trying several gymnastic disciplines he focused on tumbling.
