She struggled with a hernia in the 2014/15 season. (unt.se, 21 Apr 2016)
Start sporting career
She took up trampoline gymnastics in 2011 after switching from artistic gymnastics. She also played football while in high school, but left the sport after breaking her ankle. "We trained seriously [in football], but it was not super strict like artistic gymnastics. Football worked as a mental rest for me, with coaches who talked a bit. I also got free cardio in a fun way."
Reason for taking up the sport
"I only started with trampoline because I wanted to try it for fun. I was tired of doing artistic gymnastics but felt I was not ready to leave gymnastics entirely."
Milestones
She became the first Swedish trampoline gymnast, male or female, to win a gold medal at the world championships when she claimed victory in the double mini trampoline at the 2018 World Championships in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. Additional information
SWITCH TO TRAMPOLINE
Having claimed three world titles in the double mini trampoline, she decided that the 2022 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, would be her final tournament competing in double mini in order to focus her attention on the individual and synchro trampoline events. "I have achieved everything you can in DMT [double mini trampoline], and then there is a risk of injury. The idea of refocusing on trampoline and ending DMT already existed before the pandemic [in 2020]. I thought that the European championships at home [Gothenburg, Sweden] in 2020 would be my end, but then the pandemic came and there were no European championships. I am very determined as a person and I feel that I have achieved all my goals in DMT, then there will not be the same motivation in training and not as much fun to train." OCCUPATION
Outside of sport, she works as an assistant lawyer for a firm in Sweden, focusing on family law. She has also served as a coach at the Uppsala Gymnastikforening club. (Facebook profile, 22 Oct 2021; advokatbolaget.net, 01 Jan 2020)
