Start sporting career
She began gymnastics at age eight, and took up trampoline at age 10 at North Shore Trampoline Club in Auckland, New Zealand. She then moved to Sydney, NSW, Australia, where she continued at the Castle Hill RSL Gymnastics club.
Reason for taking up the sport
Her parents put her into the sport because she was a hyperactive child. "As soon as I started gymnastics all I wanted to do was train and get better, never did I think that I would end up representing Australia regularly at an elite level for trampoline gymnastics."
Ambitions
To compete at the Olympic Games. (jaggad.com, 10 May 2018)
Hero / Idol
Chinese trampoline gymnast Li Dan. (gymnastics.org.au, 01 Jun 2017)
Rituals
"Before competing I like to do my routine in my head followed by a handstand - this helps me keep focused and calm." (gymnastics.org.au, 01 Jun 2017)
Philosophy / Motto
"Work hard in silence and let your success be the noise." (gymnastics.org.au, 01 Jun 2017)
Additional information
NEW ZEALAND TO AUSTRALIA
She initially represented New Zealand at age group level before her family moved to Australia. "I started trampoline gymnastics when I was 10 years old and living in New Zealand. I first competed internationally for New Zealand when I was 11 years old at the World Age Championships in Canada. My family and I moved to Australia when I was 12." (Trampoline Sports Australia Facebook page, 09 May 2020; jaggad.com, 10 May 2018)

NINJA WARRIOR
She has appeared on the obstacle course competition TV show 'Australian Ninja Warrior'. "I was a bit nervous because I've never done a ninja competition before, and it's very different to gymnastics. I kind of got up to something that I knew I wasn't as physically capable of, like the cliffhanger with fingers is so hard, especially because all my [gymnastics] training is just grip strength, I don't do anything with my fingers."
