General
OLYMPIC COMEBACK
After competing at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she took time away from the Canadian national team to focus on competing for the University of Georgia Gymdogs in the United States of America, where she had moved to in order to study. In 2015 she decided to make a bid to return to the Canadian national senior high performance programme, with the goal of competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "I feel like there's still more in me. A lot gymnasts kind of use their collegiate years to kind of retire and kind of mend off of gymnastics. I didn't feel like that was the case for me. I felt like I got stronger. Georgia has been life-changing in a sense of my confidence. Not only am I competing every weekend to help stabilise my confidence in front of judges and large crowds in the gymnastics world, but I am also gaining independence due to moving away from home into a different country, and that has helped me become more confident in realising who I am as a person, and not just a gymnast." (redandblack.com, 16 Mar 2015; dawgnation.com, 01 Oct 2015; intlgymnast.com, 29 Aug 2015)

UNIVERSITY CAREER
She represented the University of Georgia Gymdogs for four seasons, until her final year of National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA] eligibility as a senior in 2015/16. During her junior year in 2014/15 she received NCAA First Team All-American honors on bars. (Twitter profile, 28 Feb 2016; flogymnastics.com, 13 May 2015; georgiadogs.com, 01 Jan 2016)

HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENT
She represented Canada at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where she was part of the team event that made the Olympic final for the first time in Canadian history. (redandblack.com, 16 Mar 2015; flogymnastics.com, 13 May 2015)

OLYMPIC TATTOO
She has a tattoo of the Olympic rings above the surgery scar on her ankle. "It represents a journey and that [the Olympics] is the light at the end of the tunnel." (arabianpunchfront.com, 20 Sep 2012)

SCREEN TIME
She appeared briefly in the 2011 teen horror movie Final Destination 5, playing a gymnast called Porter. (imdb.com, 01 Jan 2012; vancouversun.com, 12 Jul 2012)
