MENTAL BLOCK
In 2015 and 2016 she struggled from what she calls a "mental block" and she nearly quit the sport. "I was once told by someone that every good sportsperson goes through something like this in their career and it makes them better once they are on the other side. And at first I did not believe them, however that statement could not be more true. I am learning so much going through this transition, and not just sport-related. Don't get me wrong, it is something that I would have much rather avoided but I knew a challenge was coming up sooner or later. I would not wish this situation on anyone. It literally makes or breaks you. It nearly broke me." (luciecolebeck.wordpress.com, 02 May 2016)
