SONG OF STRENGTH
She credits Christina Aguilera's song 'Fighter' for helping her win bronze in the all-around at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, after the first two of her four routines did not go as well as she hoped. "I was downcast as I did not give my best in the hoop and ball. I sat and listened to one of my favourite songs ['Fighter']. My coach [Lidia Legotina] and team manager [Corine Beh] came to me at that time and told me not to give up and fight until the end. [Beh] gave me a big hug. She told me that she has not seen the fire in me yet. It gave me all the energy and motivation." (thestar.com.my, 13 Apr 2018)
