In August 2014 she tore the anterior cruciate ligament of her left knee, and also suffered meniscus and cartilage damage, while performing on vault at the German championships. NOT READY FOR RIO 2016
In early June 2016 she announced that the state of her recovery from her 2014 knee injury meant she would not be ready to try for a spot on the German team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
