Additional information
ROAD CYCLING
Having struggled with knee problems throughout her career, another knee injury ruled her out of the 2020 Olympic Games, and she then decided to begin participating in road cycling competitions in Spain. Previously she had incorporated cycling into her fitness routine. In September 2021 she had knee surgery that was expected to require up to 10 months of rehabilitation, and she said that after she recovered, she hoped to combine gymnastics and competitive cycling. "Cycling has always complemented my training and helped to keep me in shape. In the future, if I'm able to combine it with gymnastics I will definitely do it. I love the aerobic effort required on the bike." (efe.com, 08 Sep 2021)
