TOKYO REDEMPTION
She said placing fifth in the all-around competition at the 2021 World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, felt like a measure of redemption after missing out on a place as a travelling reserve at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo due to a positive COVID-19 test. "It was really hard for me that I wasn't allowed to go to Tokyo, and I struggled a lot with it. But I knew I wasn't my best at the moment, so I was motivated to work hard to get on the level I wanted to be. The world championships felt like a revenge for me, and I'm happy with how it turned out." (intlgymnast.com, 27 Dec 2021)
