Additional information
FROM VENEZUELA TO COLOMBIA
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she has had Colombian citizenship since age 12 as her father is from Colombia. She moved from Venezuela to Colombia at age 14, following coach Mariangel Balza, who encouraged her to begin representing Colombia. She was cleared to compete for the country in 2017. "I was worried about leaving my friends, my grandparents, my coaches, and I didn't know if I was going to do well or not. After they confirmed that I could travel, more than relief, it gave me sadness. However, I knew that asking to stay [in Venezuela] was a selfish attitude."
