Reason for taking up the sport
Her mother encouraged her to take up the sport. "I am grateful to my mother for insisting and, despite my tantrums and tears, she continued to accompany me. At age five, I stopped the hysteria and from age seven I wanted to train. I liked winning, setting a goal and achieving it."

In April 2019 she became the first rhythmic gymnast representing Slovenia to win a medal at a World Cup event when she claimed bronze in ribbon in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Born in the Russian Federation, she chose to represent Slovenia in 2018. She made her debut for Slovenia in August 2018 at the World Cup event in Kazan, Russian Federation. "This way I have the possibility to compete in World Cup events, European and world championships, and the Olympic Games. I'm not saying that it would have been impossible to make the Russian team, but in Slovenia there are many more opportunities."
