General
NAMED ELEMENT
In August 2016 the International Gymnastics Federation [FIG] announced that an element on the uneven bars had been named after her in the FIG Official Code of Points. The move is executed when she undertakes a hecht mount with a 360 degree turn with repulsion off the low bar to the high bar. The naming of the element came after she performed it at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro where she became the first female artistic gymnast to compete for Armenia at the Olympic Games. (fig-gymnastics.com, 30 Aug 2016)

COMPETING FOR ARMENIA
Born in the United States of America to Armenian parents, she was asked to consider representing Armenia by one of her father's friends in 2010. "One of my dad's friends was on the National Olympic Committee of Armenia and they were looking for female athletes - they don't really have many female representatives. He asked if I would be willing to compete for Armenia, and I thought, 'Why not?'" (armenianweekly.com, 21 Mar 2016)

OCCUPATION
She is a certified physician assistant with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants [NCCPA] since June 2014, working as a full-time physician's assistant in the Department of Surgery on the Labor and Delivery Floor at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, United States.
