Her grandfather Laszlo Pigniczki represented Hungary in table tennis and won a silver medal in the men's team event at the 1959 World Championships in Dortmund, Germany. Injuries
In February 2022 she broke a bone and damaged ligaments in her left foot after standing on a ball in training. She needed more than 10 weeks to fully recover, and returned to competition in May 2022 at the national championships in Torokbalint, Hungary. END OF A DROUGHT
After she earned a berth to compete at the 2020 Olympic Games through her performance at the 2021 European Championships in Varna, Bulgaria, she became the first Hungarian rhythmic gymnast to compete at the Olympic Games since compatriot Viktoria Frater participated at the 2000 Games in Sydney. "[Before the 2021 European Championships] I talked to my coach about forgetting Tokyo, forgetting about being an Olympic qualifier, and presenting my routines as if I were in training.
