Start sporting career
She began practising artistic gymnastics at age seven in San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico. She took up trampolining at age 12.
Reason for taking up the sport
She used to practise artistic gymnastics but at age 12 she was spotted by a coach who encouraged her to join the Nuevo Leon trampolining team.
Milestones
She and her partner Dafne Navarro became the first Mexican athletes to win a world championship medal in trampolining when they claimed bronze in the synchronised event at the 2018 edition in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. (SportsDeskOnline, 13 Nov 2018; ntrguadalajara.com, 10 Nov 2018)
Trainings
She trains in Monterrey, Mexico, while her trampolining partner, Dafne Navarro is in Guadalajara, more than 800km away. "It's big communication work between ourselves and our coaches. We measure the time we are in the air and send videos, so we can match our routines. We only meet during competitions and the days before. But we have never had any problems."
