FROM REUNION TO FRANCE
She was born in Saint-Benoit, Reunion, before her family relocated to continental France. Her parents settled in Meaux, France, after looking for a gymnastics structure that could enable her to combine both sport and studies. At age 14 she joined the National Institute for Sport, Expertise and Performance [INSEP] in Paris, France. (actu.fr, 13 Aug 2016)
RETIREMENT PLANS
She intends to retire from competitive sport after the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. One of her future goals is to join the Cirque du Soleil theatre company. "I want to stop after the Games. At my age these are not the best years in the career of a gymnast. It is getting harder and harder to train without pain. I think I have already given everything to the sport. I tell myself I will see how my body and my mind go. I will go without a burden in my head, I'll give my best and then let's see the result. For now, gymnastics remains my passion but I would like to try other things later." (imazpress.com, 01 Oct 2022)
