Reason for taking up the sport
"My sports career began at age five. Mum brought me to synchronised swimming. I had very good skills for this sport, and the coach immediately took over me. I can't say that I liked it, but since childhood I have a habit of continuing everything that I start to the end. But after a year and a half of training, I finally realised that it was not for me. In addition, during training I was injured while stretching, I tore my ligament, so I stopped doing synchronised swimming. I got acquainted with rhythmic gymnastics on TV. I saw the performance of the Omsk [Russian Federation] sportswoman Zhenya [Evgeniya] Kanaeva, and I immediately wanted to learn. Then I fell in love with rhythmic gymnastics and asked my mother to take me to a test training." (stavkinasport.com, 24 Aug 2021)
