Reason for taking up the sport
Although she began with artistic gymnastics, she was told by a colleague of her father that she was better suited to rhythmic gymnastics and decided to switch disciplines. "I went to an exhibition event and I fell in love with the discipline. I was too slim, flexible and expressive for artistic, so my parents and I decided to try rhythm and it was immediately love at first sight."

STUDY
She began studying communications at university with a view to pursuing a career as a sports journalist after retiring from competition. "I will try to reinvent myself, trying to create my future as I did with rhythmic gymnastics. I'm not afraid. After my career as an athlete, who knows, I would like to undertake sports journalism to continue to remain in this world that belongs to me and make my knowledge available." CAPTAIN
She has served as captain of the Italian rhythmic gymnastics team, first taking on the role in 2017. "In my sport the role of captain is quite invisible. It's a behind-the-scene job, we need to keep the team together, find a solution or a compromise if there are issues, motivate the other girls and take care of them. Sometimes it's hard to turn my energy into something positive for the team, but I feel I'm very lucky because I'm a captain of a group of girls who have the same goal."
