NATIONAL TEAM RECALL
Just before the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, ON, Canada, she was left out of the national team for disciplinary reasons. "At that time I was a little immature and made decisions without thinking or valuing the consequences. Now I have changed my character, I have moderated my way of being, my way of approaching people. I am more humble." She contemplated leaving the sport during her absence from the national team. "I was thinking of leaving the sport completely, because I never thought I would be called back, I had already lost hope." However, she was recalled to the national team for the 2017 season. "I came back as soon as I was called and now I just think about achieving the best possible results." (granma.cu, 04 Jul 2017; granma.cu, 01 Jun 2017; jit.cu, 24 Feb 2017)
