He took up the sport at age five in Mogilev, Belarus.
Reason for taking up the sport
His parents took him to the sports section because he had too much energy. He had a choice between trampoline gymnastics and artistic gymnastics, and chose artistic gymnastics because it gave him more variety of activities.

Philosophy / Motto

THOUGHTS OF QUITTING
He says he was tempted to quit when things became more difficult. "Initially everything seemed simple. For me it was a game and a way to get rid of energy. But over the years, thoughts began to appear about throwing everything away. A lot did not work out, [and] it seemed that I was alone against everyone.
