Additional information
RETURNING FROM INJURY
Between 2019 and 2021 he sustained injuries to his knee and both of his wrists. "After my second wrist injury I really struggled to return and I began having some doubts. I did not believe in myself anymore. It was the time of the restructuring of the Olympic Preparation Centre and I clearly was not at the same level as the others. I saw my training teammates going to the world championships, European championships and World Cup events and I wasn't because my performance was not good enough. Obviously, it was a blow. I asked myself what I was going to do because I had the feeling that I would never return to my top level. But there was a performance review and everything changed. I prepared myself for one month in Montceau [France] and I regained the pleasure for training. At the review I did a good performance and I saw that I could be back. Having these feelings back was good for me to be once again at the top." (spotgym.fr, 04 Jul 2023)
