Additional information
MOVE TO FLORIDA
In December 2022 he joined EVO Gymnastics in Sarasota, FL, United States of America, having previously been based at the US Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado. He said the move provided him with greater financial stability and helped his motivation. "Before, we made barely enough to get by [through national team funding]. This programme [EVO Gymnastics] pays all of us, which takes away a lot of worries. You can just focus on gymnastics. My biggest struggle last year [2022] was training by myself. The other guys at the [national] training centre were great, but they weren't all-arounders. Now I have someone to train with on every event. That's really made a difference. It's motivational to have teammates push you and hold you accountable." (sports.yahoo.com, 23 Aug 2023)
