Reason for taking up the sport
He was involved in swimming before switching to gymnastics. "Some gymnasts came into our school for our physical education hour. They introduced different exercises and I really liked what they did. At the end of the class they said they thought I was fit to be a gymnast. My parents persuaded me not to continue with two sports at once, so I started doing gymnastics."
