Philosophy / Motto
"Everything [in tumbling] must be done to the millimetre. It's all these little details that will make the difference. I still make a few mistakes, because I have less experience and if you shift a millimetre, it can ruin the whole game. Physically, it's also complicated to always be on top. In my opinion, tumbling is a mixture of tonicity and explosiveness." (tisport.bzh, 17 Nov 2021)
Additional information
LATECOMER TO TUMBLING
She was part of the French team that won a team tumbling gold medal at the 2021 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, only five years after she took up the discipline. She said the title has helped her confidence as well as the exposure for France's tumbling team. "I've only been tumbling for five years after 12 years of [artistic] gymnastics. The first years were not easy, but I have progressed well. [Winning a world title] has given me a confidence boost, as I was on the ropes a bit when it came to my individual performance. I realised that I need to have more confidence in myself in order to continue to succeed. It feels like the work we are doing is finally paying off, and we're getting more recognition because of this world title. After we won, I did go through a difficult period psychologically but now I am feeling a lot better and I'm progressing well." (tisport.bzh, 21 Apr 2022; ouest-france.fr, 24 Nov 2021)
