Start sporting career
She began competing in rhythmic gymnastics at age eight.
Reason for taking up the sport
"When I was four years old, I told my mum that I wanted to wear the beautiful leotards that gymnasts would wear. They were all so pretty and brightly coloured, especially the diamond-studded ones. My mum said, 'Well, if you want to wear the leotards, you will have to take up the sport'. And so I did. While doing gymnastics was never my dream, I didn't think that it was something that I would be taking so seriously. In the beginning, it was just for fun."
Milestones
She became the first rhythmic gymnast representing Malaysia to win two individual gold medals at a single edition of the Commonwealth Games by claiming titles in ball and ribbon at the 2022 Games in Birmingham, England.
